My Jouney in The TLI Program May6,2009

In 2006 ,I stared computing l.Mr.Ellott was my computer teacher ,
He told us ths basics of emailing, looking up on the web, and
what different words mean on the computer .We had to tell about
ourselves whaen we first started .We had to get to know the other
person whao we were working with,and they had to know us
My mentor ,Maeve
We met an hour each week with our mentor .I had Meaeve o,Hara.
she was asking me what l wanted to do for her to help me out with different things l like to do.
I told her recipes l like and she taughe me
how to put the lemon bars in order on word.Then we had to
find our own website and talk about what we chose in class.Mr.
Elliott told us about the thumb drive, how to hook it to the side of the
computer and how to put pur files in it.

in 2007 ,l wanted to take computing ll. Darla and Besty were our
comouter teachers. They told us some fun stuff that l didn't know
how to do ,like powderpoint ,how to do a blog and how to use
templates to make a card or invitation .They also taught us how to
change the color format and the font. That was neat becausr I had
never done that before .Kathy was my mentor and we had to do
our powerpoint about what we learned .I never did a powderpointbefore.
That was fun because we worked together on it.I like
blogging because it's fun I'm always on my blog.I like writting on it
and i had never done it before .I came up in front the class and
showed my blog and how I did somes on it
reading Writting and Editing
The other TLI Program I am doing now is the literacy porgram. My
mentor is Alice .I am learning aboytr reading with a great book
called Cham.I am learninghow to edit on the computer .And we
are doing a new reading wise workbook to practice reading
comprehension and workskill .I used these skills to write a letter to
the inquirer newspaper telling them about theTLI Program
Sharing Ideas
I also sever on the advisory board for the staff /student partnerships.
This semester I have been part of two meetings .One was with Matt
Gray to tell him about theTLI and ask him to see if he can help us out
with publicity. I talked about my experience in the TLI and told him
when I first starfd in the program and when first learned to do a
blog in computingll.He was very interested when I wastelling him
about it.He even wanted my blog website and I said it was okayso
he could read what I wrote.
Improving the TIL program
The other meeting we had was in campus center when we all
got together from the different programs. We all went around the
room and shared our experience and opins of the programs
this helps keep the TLI going and improving

It has been a wonderful experience to learn in these programs.I
